Positive: A very intimate, memorable, unique-feeling boutique hotel. Our guest room was thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed to feel comfortable for a six night stay. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Although maybe a 25 minute walk to the city center, the #21 bus to the Bern Bahnhof drives by relentlessly and the hotel provides guest with a free pass for all Bern buses and trams.

Negative: I wish it were a little more affordable, but, so it goes in Switzerland. Honestly, I have no criticism of the property.

Summary: An intimate, memorable, unique boutique hotel. Will remain as my go-to hotel in Bern!

Positive: Lovely older hotel. Convenient public transportation to downtown. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They willingly accommodated me when I asked to move rooms because I found the noise from the road disruptive. The second room, facing the back garden, was excellent.

Negative: Rooms on the front side of the building are noisy.

Negative: Kind of difficult to locate when the taxi driver couldn’t find the Unique Hotel. Confusing names for this hotel.
